About the Centre The DD Enterprise Centre is a business centre with a difference – our goal is to provide the perfect working environment for disabled entrepreneurs to turn their budding business ideas (start-up or established) into reality. Disability Direct, a local charity providing a range of services to disabled people, submitted an application to East Midlands Development Agency who were administering money on behalf of DDEP and ERDF: It was an ambitious application which aimed to support disabled people to start up, and sustain their own businesses. In early 2009 we found out that this funding was successful and the process of getting the Enterprise Centre up an running was underway. After sourcing the right building and several months of intensive refurbishment work the Enterprise Centre we see now was born. The DD Enterprise Centre The DD Enterprise Centre is much more than just walls, some power points and a telephone though; What makes the DD Enterprise Centre unique is the fact that we have already linked into a number of organisations to provide you more than just a roof over your head and a phone line – we are here to make sure that you get access to years and years worth of business expertise, experience and know how from advisors from the following dedicated organisations.
